An environmentally friendly creation! Coffee grounds are often used for skin and hair care, to fertilize plants, to mask scratches, but can you make something out of them? "Artoteka" thinks so! To show that you can use what seems unusable – that is the goal of these ceramics classes. "Artoteka" is a wide-spectrum art studio, where more than 30 different creative classes are held regularly. A regular participant in them is Katinas Katinauskas, who has lived here since the beginning, and who, whenever he is not napping or wandering, explores the environment with a curious look. During the class, the recipient of the gift will sculpt a bowl from coffee grounds. The highlight of such a bowl is the Baltic symbols embossed on it. The process of making the bowl is simple and very interesting: first, the recipient of the gift will melt wax, then mix it with coffee grounds, and knead the resulting mass. Then they will shape the bowl and emboss the Baltic symbol inside it. While the product cools and hardens, the recipient of the gift will make a cardboard package in which the bowl will be packed and ready to go home. This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with this unconventional type of ceramics and make a fragrant and sustainable product!

The scents around us can influence our emotional state, evoke various memories, evoke positive and negative emotions, change facial expressions and even influence our mood. Many people cannot imagine a day without perfume, but have you ever thought that you can become the creator of your own perfume? In the natural personal perfume making class, we will use essential oils with effects on physical and emotional health, enchanting aroma incenses, and luxurious absolutes to create a scent. Our offered scent palette consists of over 30 natural essential oils. During the class, you will have a theoretical introduction and a practical part, during which, after tasting the scents, with the help of testers, you will compose your chosen scents into a unique palette, which you will use to create a scent. We will discuss the rules for combining scents, and we will look for the most suitable aromas for creating a general scent according to the selected criteria. We will observe not only the change in the scent, but also the dominant colors, and we will evaluate the scent using different methods. The formula of the created perfume will remain for your use or improvement of the perfume.

Ceramics is one of the oldest branches of applied decorative arts. It is divided into three groups according to its purpose: household, architectural and decorative. During ceramics lessons, students learn what ceramics are, what are the main molding technologies, what materials are used, and mold a small plastic item: a cup, saucer, bowl, animal figurine, angel, candlestick, incense burner, etc. The molded piece is "fired" in a kiln, and during the second lesson, it is glazed with Czech glazes.
